We tested default AI vs OpenAI Decisions vs Jev across 123 cases.
Jev cut simple-routing cost by 89% and image-classification time by 81%, matching image accuracy (9/9).
But, for our use cases complex routing and rule analysis added overhead. And there is no clean winner.

ps. and most interesting table is costs across all use cases.

the skill that matters most in AI-driven creative work isn't prompting. it's knowing what to build.

tools and ideas that shaped how I think about this:

1/ Codex Router - route between 20+ models inside one workflow
2/ Higgsfield API - cinematic video from a single text prompt
3/ open model stacks - no login, no paywall, no locked pipeline
4/ SpriteOps - shared canvas for 2D assets without destroying the original art
5/ BitePDF - browser-first, no upload friction, no account wall
6/ one-prompt-per-shot filmmaking - 65 seconds, zero manual editing
7/ Minecraft-style open worlds - built on open models, fully forkable

the output gap between people who use this stack and people who don't is already real.

last finding from 50 hours of travel. for short rewrites, like cleaning up a dictation, latency beats raw intelligence. apple's on device model hits about 269 ms to first token on an m4 max in a third party bench. that is why aurator stays on your mac.

Compliance: DeepSeek's privacy policy says it stores the personal data it collects in China. The weights are open, but Search and Fetch run only on DeepSeek's servers.

Try it: low-volume research agents, prototypes.
Skip it: client data that can't go to a China-based provider.

My best ideas come right before I go to sleep.

So my new favourite workflow is to send a long voice prompt to Opus 5.5 from my bed.

Get down as much detail and inspiration whilst it's fresh in my head.

Then tell Claude to work through the night, be thorough and impress me.

Then I get to wake up to a banger new feature/product.

tried postraid by @Nick_333ch to make content for TokenNations. not really the perfect fit for this kind of product, but it spat out a couple genuinely funny meme videos, here's one

think the tool itself is solid, just better suited for a different kind of app. might come back to it for one of my other projects

Did some testings on Codex to better undestand performance vs speed vs cost on some tasks that I regularly do and this was the result: Luna High was the cheapest one to conclude all the tasks, but took longer.

Terra Low was the fastest (65% faster than Luna High) but most expensive (3x higher) to conclude all the tasks.

Astra Low, Sol Medium and Terra Max had almost the same cost, but went from 2 minutes to almost ten minutes in the same set of tasks.

Surprisingly, Terra and Sol Ultra took longer and costed more than Astra Ultra on the set of tasks.

Of course this is just my usage in a single set of tasks, not a full-controlled benchmark, but helped me A LOT to decide which model does what on my day-to-day work.

TOP 3 AI WRITING TOOLS FOR SOCIAL MEDIA

AI writing tools are everywhere.

But social media writing has a different problem.

You don't just need grammatically correct content.

You need content that sounds natural, fits the platform and doesn't feel like it came from the same AI everyone else is using.

Three tools worth checking out:

1. VoiceMOAT → focused on creating social content around your own writing voice.
2. Typefully → built around writing and publishing social content.
3. Taplio → focused heavily on LinkedIn content and personal branding.

The best AI writing workflow isn't “AI writes everything.”

It's:

Your idea → AI helps → you refine → your voice stays intact.

Save this list for your next content workflow.
